Business Dreams
Well friends it has come down to this.
I have done all I can do ( there maybe more but I sure can't think of it or it has been thought of and just didn't work) I learned, I tried, I built, I fought, I struggled, I read, learned some more, I lost (oh how much I've lost)
I kept pushing forward, I built some more, I talked to many people, I made friends ( oh how I made and met wonderful people) I enjoyed even through the bad. But now it is no longer in my hands! The future of the tearoom is no longer up to me it is up to you.
The tearoom can't survive without your support. I am not asking for a hand out ( trust me even asking for this is breaking me!! ) I need you to simply make a reservation. I understand the cost of eating out is not always easy (everyone has their own financial story) I understand that the current tearoom experience isn’t what we all hope it would being the basement of the church. But I do think I have something in this tearoom dream worth keeping around. I just can not sustain the business without a drastic increase in sales. And not just for a week but consistently moving forward.
So here is what I am asking from you

Like/follow the tearoom on facebook/Instagram. Like the posts, comment on the posts, share the posts.
Word of mouth advertising is the best, least expensive, most effective form of advertising. If you have visited in the past and really, really, enjoyed. Please tell family and friends.
This costs you nothing.

Make a reservation to one of our events coming up. Locations to be announced closer to the date as I now have a catering license, so it will be easier to set up in other venues.

I am needing some motivation, cheerleaders. If you can offer help with legal or real estate advice, negotiations, financial counsel or investment please reach out to me. I am finding all the hoops I must get through daunting, exhausting.
The tearoom dream has been a 30 year love. I have spent the last 3 and a half years enjoying every minute of making it work. But the struggle is really bearing down on me as I walk this entrepreneur path. Perhaps the pandemic, or personal health, or family drama and trauma have added to the exhaustion.
Many of you have come along side, for a time, walking with me offering advice and guidance. I am forever grateful for you.
January to March 2022 were my best sales on record. I would like to see our year end with record sales again. I need to know that all my behind the scenes efforts are because you want a tearoom in Brandon to serve the Westman area. these summer months have been slower than I am comfortable with.
I have found a suitable location. Quite dreamy actually but the current traffic flow for summer 2022 would dictate that the Westman doesn’t want what I am trying to build. I was not offering dine in until recently, that could be part of your dining decisions. I have searched for other venues to offer a dine in afternoon tea experience. Many local venues do not allow outside food brought in, or they are just too costly.
I understand that the last few years have been hard on everyone, loss of work through the pandemic and now rising costs of gas and food, makes asking for you to purchase what is considered a luxury experience even harder right now. Trust me this has been a struggle to even admit never mind ask of all of you!
Just know that if I don't make it into 2023 I am so grateful and have been extremely overwhelmed by all your cheering on and help through this journey.
